Greetings. As some of you may know, I have been taking a look at the profiles. I dont study the profiles, but I try to get generally acquainted with the folks here. Also, If I can give any constructive advice on how to brush up thier profile, I might send them a mini-message.
But I notice that my advice is becoming the same for everyone: Add more info in your About Me section of the profile.
At first I was amazed at how little folks were putting in the About Me section of thier profiles. Little to no info. Or a short one liner. This is free, and an excellent way to let others know about themselves and meet new friends. I was scratching my head. Do they really think that anyone will contact them with such brief ( at best) About Me's?
Then I realized, hey, most of these people are not here looking to meet new friends, find a playmate, get a date, or meet a life partner!! Funny how we just assume things.
At least half the members here are just here to learn something about b d s m, maybe learn something about themselves, and what role, if any, they might have in b d s m. And of course, a lot of them are looking for adult photos and vids.
And then I had another realization! Most of these folks have no real experience in b d s m.
So it isn't thier fault that they couldn't share much about themselves in the About Me section of thier profiles. They dont know the terms used within b d s m circles. They might not even be sure what s----l orientation they are. ( Dom, Sub, or Switch). So they cant really say much in the About Me section of thier profiles.
If you Are looking to meet new friends, playmates, dates or partners here, read on. If not, then you are excused. The following info will not pertain to you.
Let's spruce up those About ME sections!
If you are really hoping to meet someone here, first of all, you need to have at least one full paragraph written in your About Me section. It doesnt matter even what you share about yourself. Anything. Anything at all. The folks into b d s m are just like folks anywhere else. Honesty is important to them. They want to see you being honest and upfront with them right away. If you hide behind your PC or Ipad, and share very little about yourself, you will not be hearing from anyone.
I'm going to share the six most important things you must include in your About Me section.
1. The most important thing of all to others reading your profile is your marital status. So start right off:Hi. I'm single. Or Hi, I'm divorced. Or Hi, we are a married couple.
2. The next most important thing is to mention your b d s m orientation. Are you submissive, dominant, or are you a switch. If you are new to b d s m, you can take a guess at your orientation if you arent sure.
3. Next, state who and what you are looking for. Be specific. You are looking for a Sub. Male or female? Or either? Are you looking for someone to join you and your wife? Are you lokking for a casual weekend playmate? Are you looking for a life partner? You need to spell these things out. People are not mind readers.
4. Now mention what activities you might enjoy. Are you interested in collar and leash training? Discipline and spankings? Whips, chains or dungeons?
5. One of the most important things of all is ages. Your age will be prominently displayed on your profile, so you dont need to be concerned about that. But you should mention the age range that you are interested in. Ie. Guys around my age please. Or pls be between the ages of xx and xx. Or under age 40 pls. Something like this.
6. Finally, you guessed it, a good photograph. There are some statistics floating around that profiles with photos get something like 2 or 3 times the replies than profiles with no photo or just an avatar.
I shouldnt have to mention this, but I will. Guys, if you are sending a selfie to a woman, no c--- photos. Women just hate this, and you will get a reputation.
So there you go! Fill out those About Me sections.
I suggest that you not write one liners like: I will do anything you tell me to do.
Oh yeah? How about jumping off the Brooklyn bridge for her?
